Job Summary/Basic Function | The College of Arts, Education and Sciences at Clarion University is seeking to expand the current temporary faculty pool to teach various undergraduate courses for the 2019 – 2020, 2020 – 2021 and 2021-2022 academic years. Applicants in previous pools will have to reapply to be considered. All positions are contingent upon the availability of funding. The Department of English and Modern Languages is seeking qualified applicants to teach first-year composition courses and/or introductory literature courses. Courses may be taught online and/or face-to-face at the following locations: Clarion campus, Venango (Oil City), Somerset, and West Penn (Pittsburgh). |
Required Qualifications | Candidates must have a minimum of a master’s degree in composition, rhetoric, or a closely related field of study and have experience teaching first-year writing. |
Preferred Qualifications | Knowledge of first-year writing pedagogy and scholarship is preferred. |
