All college-level credits from postsecondary institutions with CHEA-recognized accreditation will be accepted in transfer, regardless of how the prior learning was acquired. The intent of this policy is to maximize the application to degree requirements of college-level credits awarded by such accredited institutions. Review of learning from non-accredited institutions will be evaluated locally on a student by student basis.

To earn a degree from PennWest Clarion, you must complete a minimum of 30 of your last 60 credits and at least 50 percent of the major credits through PennWest Clarion curriculum.Residency policyfor incoming students.

Students are eligible to participate if they have transferred in at least45 credits from the most recently attended PA Community Collegeto a PA State System University, have completed at least 15 credits at the PA State System University, earned a grade point average of 2.00 in their courses at the four-year university, and have no financial holds on their student account.

Up to $2,000 is available.
Transfer students with a cumulative 3.0 or better (averaged from all of the previous institutions attended) are eligible to receive a renewable (up to eight semesters) award upon transfer to Clarion provided certain criteria are met.
Also, non-Pennsylvania residents living in University Housing are eligible for a 2-year room award ($3,000 per year).
Eligibility will be determined through the admissions process and awards will be given until funds are depleted.
